SOUTH POINT — River’s Bend Health Care, a nursing and rehabilitation facility in South Point, recently received a multimedia framed print from a longtime friend, Cecil Fry of Huntington, W.Va.

Fry is a frequent visitor to the facility who spends time with residents he knows and makes friends with new ones. He recently donated the artwork with a note, “In loving memory of all the precious souls that have passed through these caring doors.”

The artwork now is displayed in the front lobby. It depicts a country cottage with a thatched roof, surrounded by a garden. The piece features collage, mixed media and dried flowers for a 3-D effect.

“Cecil has been a friend to the people here for many years, and we’re proud to display this beautiful work of art for all to enjoy,” said Ruth Hackworth, assistant administrator.
