Charles Jenkins

Charles David  “Potty or Pinkie” Jenkins, 60, of Ironton, passed away Friday March 1, 2013, at his residence. The Ironton native was born June 3, 1952, a son of the late Charles and Bonnie Ann Shope Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Kay Corbin Jenkins.

Charles attended Rock Hill Schools and attended Fox Hollow Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jerimah Scott Jenkins and Sean Michael Henderson; and one granddaughter, Shaylee Dillon. He is survived by his fiancée, Mary Thacker of Ironton; son, Joe C. Jenkins of Ironton; son, David Michael Jenkins of Ironton; daughter, Angela Kay Martin of Willow Wood;

son, Christopher Lee Jenkins of South Point; son, Scottie Allen Jenkins of Ironton; stepdaughter, Beth Nichole Harper of Ironton; five brothers, Fred Jenkins, Raymond Jenkins, Tom Jenkins, Alvin Jenkins and Ogle Jenkins; five sisters, Connie Robinson, Juanita Colley, Sadie Sparks, Mary Sparks and Beth Sparks; his dog and loving companion, Stoner; special friend, Randy “Jake” Mullins of Pine Grove; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Hollow Pleasant Valley Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Jack Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Furnace Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flower the family request donations be made to Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Pamela Oakes

Pamela Lynn Oakes, 56, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013. She was the wife of Bill Oakes, who survives. Visitation will be at Hall Funeral Home  in Proctorville from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Audrey Ruth Breece, 81, of Russell, Ky., died Saturday March 2, 2013, at Kingsbrook Life Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
