SCIOTOVILLE — The Green Lady Bobcats proved to be quite a hit with their coach. They were quite a hit on the scoreboard, too.

The Lady Bobcats collected 10 hits including five extra base hits in a 14-3 five-inning win over the Sciotoville East Lady Tartans on Wednesday in a Southern Ohio Conference game.

“We hit the ball pretty well and Micah Lewis did a nice job on the mound. It was a good win,” said Green coach Dale Royse.

Micah Lewis got the win as she gave up only three hits, struck out seven and walked two. She also went 3-5 at the plate with a double.

Jenna Crawford was 2-3 with a triple, Erin Imes was 2-4 with two doubles and Madi Applegate slugged a home run to lead the Lady Bobcats (1-2, 1-0).

Crawford had a two-run triple in a four-run first inning. Lewis doubled home a run in the second and singled in another run in the third inning.

Applegate belted a two-run homer in the fourth while Imes had run-scoring singles in the first and fourth innings.

Green hosts South Webster on Thursday.
