Eloise Martin

Eloise Martin, 92, wife of Willard H. Martin of Deltona, Fla., previously of Ironton, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard, sister, Helen Booher, her infant son Richard and her granddaughter Deborah Jean Wieteki.

She is survived by two sisters, Juanita Carrico and Wanda Jean Bowman. Eloise has four children, David, Phillip, Luanne and Stephen. Together she has 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Eloise and Willard owned and operated Martin’s Little Giant grocery store for more than 20 years on Seventh Street in Ironton.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Estel Davidson

Estel Eugene Davidson, 55, of Coal Grove, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born Sept. 29, 1957, the son of the late Gene and Louise Hardin Davidson. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Crank Davidson of Coal Grove.

Mr. Davidson was a graduate of South Point High School and a self-mployed carpenter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Cody Davidson of Coal Grove, and Brad Watkins of Georgia; two brothers, Sam Davidson and his wife, Pam of South Point and Mark Davidson of Coal Grove; two sisters, Debbie Nance of South Point and Sherry Southers and her husband, Roy of Ironton; and a special nephew, Jay Nance of Willow Wood.
