This was just too much Megan Hensley.

The Ashland pitcher hurled a two-hitter and struck out 12 as the Kittens blank the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers 12-0 in six innings on Thursday.

Ashland (12-5) had 14 hits with Hensley going 3-4 with a solo home run in the sixth inning that went in and out of the outfielder’s glove as the leftfielder hit the fence just as she was making attempting to make the catch.

Sydney Whitt and Megan Griffith each went 3-4 with two doubles. Haley Kilburn was 2-4.

Taylor Monk went 2-2 for the only Ironton hits.

The Kittens scored four runs in the first inning — three were unearned — as Hensley, Kilburn and Griffith drove in runs.

In a four0-run second, McKenzie Vanover had a sacrifice fly while Katie Caron, Hensley and Griffith all had RBI hits.

Whitt’s two-out bloop double drove in two runs in the sixth and Kilburn’s base hit drove in another.

Ironton (3-6) hosts South Webster on Friday and Lucasville Valley in a doubleheader on Saturday.
