Female Flyers fall in Div. IV tournament

MERCERVILLE — The South Gallia Lady Rebels downed the St. Joseph Female Flyers 13-2 on Wednesday in the Division IV sectional tournament.

Morgan Mahlmeister went 2-3 to lead St. Joseph. Haley Glockner and Rachel Martin each went 1-2.

The Female Flyers finished the season 5-12.

“We won five games and that’s the most wins we’ve had in recent years. It was a good season and I’m proud of the girls and their effort all year,” said Female Flyers’ coach Frank McClellan.

South Gallia advances to play at Eastern Meigs.
