Kerns named PING Div. I All-Region

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Marshall men’s golfer Nathan Kerns was named to the Division I PING All-Region team Tuesday.

Kerns is the first Marshall golfer to be selected to the Division I PING All-Region team.

A total of 155 players across six regions were selected to the 2013 list.

Kerns was selected to the Midwest Region, accompanying 24 other golfers from around the area.

The senior golfer finished his final round of golf two weekends ago, finishing 22nd in the Columbus NCAA Regional after shooting a 221 (+8).

The former Ironton All-Ohio golfer completed the season with a 71.9 stroke average, securing the all-time Marshall record for stroke average in a season.
