Mildred Malone

 

Mildred “Jeanie” Malone, 83, of Pedro passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013, at her residence following complications from a stroke that she suffered in 2009. She was the daughter of the late Herschel and Dorothy Evans Jones. In 1948, Jeanie graduated from Blackfork High School. On Nov. 15, 1953, Jeanie married Earl Malone, who survives.

She was a retired cook for the Rock Hill Local School District and attended Kelley’s Bridge Independent Baptist Church. She was of a strong Christian faith. Jeanie enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, sewing, cooking, watching the Cincinnati Reds with Earl, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Daniel Jones, a sister, Arlene Sark, and a great grandson, Wesley Harrison Malone

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Paul) Wilds and Linda (Jeff) Kelley; three sons, Bob (Mary Jo) Malone, Tim (Carla) Malone and Steven Malone; 10 grandchildren, Polly Bryant, Joe Wilds, Zach Wilds, Rachel Kelley, Hannah Kelley, Dani (Jason) Owens, David Farrell Jr., Wes (Kerri) Malone, Amy Malone and Corey Malone; 10 great grandchildren and three sisters, Marilyn (Denver) Bradshaw, Marlene (Jon) Chambers, and Patty Massie.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Delawder and the Rev. Randy Tate officiating. Final resting place will be at Slabfork Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave. Ashland, KY 41101. The family would also like to express their deep appreciation to all of the members of the Hospice team for the excellent care they provided to Jeanie.

 

 

Grace Mills

Grace Elizabeth Mills, 62, of Proctorville, died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, by Pastor Charles Dennison and Pastor Gordon Simpson. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Amanda Lewis

Amanda “Dolly” V. Lewis, 92, of Proctorville, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at home. . Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, by Pastor Gary Walker and Ron Justice. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. today at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville. David Estep

David Lee Estep, 61, of Huntington, W.Va., died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was the husband of Rita Jane Estep, who survives. Betty Fields

Betty Ann Thompson Fields, 62, of Chesapeake, died Monday, June 9, 2013, at her home. She was the wife of Danny Lee Fields Jr. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Elder Johnny Sturgill. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Visitation is an hour before service.
