Margie Violet Collins, 95, of Ironton, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Boone County, W.Va., native was born June 13, 1917, the daughter of the late Miles and Louella Asbury Browning. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ermil G. Collins.

Mrs. Collins was a former cook for Sunset Nursing Home and lived most of her life in Lawrence County.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Juanita Stanley and Sue Byrne; a son, Bob Collins; three brothers; eight sisters; and

son-in-law, Buck Robinson.

She is survived by daughter, Rosemary Webb of Knoxville, Tenn.; daughter, Phyllis Spillman of Lexington, Ky.; son, John Collins of Ironton; daughter, Connie Robinson of Ironton; daughter, Pam and Andrew Lawson of Ashland, Ky.; 20 grandchildren;  24 great grandchildren; and 20 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery and visitation will be Saturday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. David Estep

David Lee Estep, 61, of Huntington, W.Va., died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. He was the husband of Rita McComas Estep, who survives. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, with Rev.
