Community Fly Day was great success

The Community Fly Day June 8 at the Lawrence County Airport was a great success.

There were six local pilot volunteers who flew a total of 141 people, most of whom had never flown in a small plane before and many had never flown at all.

The pilots used their airplanes and bought their own fuel. The funds generated from this Fly Day will be put back into the Lawrence County Airport for repairs and supplies.

The profits from the concession stand will benefit the Girl Scouts. All of the workers on the concession stand were Girl Scouts and volunteers.

The members of the Tri-State Pilots Association appreciate the support the community has given us.
