Plenty to do downtown if you make effortPublished 10:29am Wednesday, June 26, 2013
It’s a beautiful Friday morning, first day of summer, and I’m just back from a delightful morning in downtown Ironton.
I have new books from the library, had delicious French toast at the City Diner, bought fresh vegetables at the Farmer’s Market, and bought a small gift at Twig’s and Berries.
I know my small purchases are no big deal, but if we all did that once a week, it would be a GREAT big deal.
You would be surprised that even little everyday purchases like cleaning and paper supplies can be purchased as cheaply as at the big box stores across the river. And our downtown is a much more pleasant place to be.
Let’s support all the effort that is being made to revive downtown Ironton.
