In Thursday’s Tribune, A story I wrote about the upcoming “Awakening” at Ironton High School on Saturday evening had a glaring error.

I erroneously listed Stephanie Scragg, who is a worship leader and director of “The Awakening,” as the wife of Pastor Kevin West. Stephanie is the wife of Dale Scragg, the sound engineer for “The Awakening.”

Pastor Kevin’s wife’s name is Leesa.

I’ve spoken to Kevin on multiple occasions. I’ve written about him and I’ve read his wonderful book, “Living a Transformed Life.” Leesa has been mentioned in all of our conversations, was a prominent part of the story I wrote about Kevin, and her name is referenced multiple times in his book.

I don’t know how I managed to make such an embarrassing mistake, but I hope to make things right by submitting this correction.

I apologize from the bottom of my heart to the Scraggs and the Wests.
