Panthers win first ICC tournament

PINE GROVE — The Chesapeake Panthers put together the low team score in an eight-team field and won the first Ironton Country Club Invitational on Monday.

Shane Stevens led the Panthers with a 77. Derrick Lemly shot a 78, Drew Oxley 81, Jacob Henson 82 and Justin Black had a 108.

Coal Grove was second with a 340 total and Brent Morgan claimed medalist honors with a 70.

Ironton shot a 403 total but Jaylen Thornhill had an 81 to lead the Fighting Tigers.

Hayden James posted a 73 for Fairland. The Dragons had a 358 total.

Madison Riley shot an 88 to pace South Point and its 397 total. Logan Barcus topped Rock Hill (521) with a 118 score.
