Dragons top Pointers in golf match

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Fairland Dragons used balanced play as they beat the South Point Pointers 181 to 201 in a golf match Wednesday at Sugarwood Golf Course.

Hayden James shot a 44 to lead the Dragons. Bailey Manns was one shot back and Hunter Schenewark and Blake Kerstetter each carded a 46. Tyler Blake had a 53 and Jake Wireman 59.

Austin Wellman shot a 47 to pace South Point. Kyle Goodson had a 48, Madison Riley shot 49, Tyler Porter 57, Barbara Collins 63 and Mackenzie Evans-Schweikart 71.
