Wilma McCann Payne, 72 of South Point, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Ky. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashland.

Wilma was born Aug. 7, 1941, in Fort Gay, W.Va., a daughter of the late Homer F. and Ada Artrip McCann. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Jennings Wray McCann.

Wilma graduated from Fort Gay High School. She worked as the office manager of Sell & Serve Marketing for more than 10 years and the owner and manager of CHAR-CAL INC., South Point.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Payne; daughter, Kim (Howard) Curtis of South Point; stepson, Rick (Pam) Payne of South Point; brother, Frank (Loretta) McCann of Lavalette, W.Va.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and is also survived by her boys Tiki and Chipper. Sarah Vallance

Sarah Imogene Vallance, 80, of Russell, Ky., died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013. There will be an informal memorial service from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ms. Vallance’s daughter’s residence in Russell.
