Breaking and entering, petty theft — Chesapeake Square Apartments, 900 block Brown St., Chesapeake, Aug. 15, laundry room broken into; four dryers and one washing machine vandalized.

Breaking and entering — Johnson Sports World, State Route 7, Proctorville, Aug. 16, driving range broken into; push mower, miscellaneous hand tools and a 12-pack of soda taken; owner also alleged business was broken into last week and tools were taken, but did not report the incident.

Illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia — County Road 144, South Point, Aug. 19, deputy patrolling the area reported at about 10:30 p.m. there was a car parked in an empty church parking lot; approached the passengers and asked if there were drugs inside; man in car allegedly admitted to having marijuana pipes; Ryan Pyles, 22, of 47 township Road 1334, South Point. cited to appear in court.

Theft — 400 block Township Road 1110, Proctorville, Aug. 20, dog, computer, tools, jewelry taken from residence; suspect named.

Theft — Gold Circle Dist., South Point, Aug. 17, Kirby S2 vacuum valued at $2,330 reported stolen.
