Lady Dragons down Chesapeake in OVC

CHESAPEAKE — The Fairland Lady Dragons didn’t sweep the match, but they did sweep the season series from the Chesapeake Lady Panthers.

Fairland beat the Lady Panthers 16-25, 25-7, 25-22 and 25-17 in an Ohio Valley Conference volleyball match Thursday, thus winning both matches this season between the two teams.

Chandler Fulks had 17 points, Jenna Fulks 15 and Mackenzie Riley 9 to lead Fairland. Lyndsey Blake had 13 points, Carrie Brock 9 and Kelsey Curry 7 to pace Chesapeake.

Jenna Fulks had 17 digs and Kelsey Riley 12 for Fairland while Mackenzie Riley had 9 hits and Kelsey Riley 7.

Fairland (9-3, 5-1) plays at Ashland, Ky., on Monday.
