Minnie Clay

Minnie Brammer Clay, 87, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at a local health care center. The Ironton native was born May 12, 1926, the daughter of the late Rowland E. and Ruth V. Pinkerman Brammer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Denver R. Clay, who passed away Jan. 7, 1998.

Mrs. Clay attended Kelley’s Bridge schools. She moved back to the Ironton area in 1990 after living in Tucson, Ariz., for 28 years.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles R. Brammer, Paul E. Brammer, Robert L. Brammer, and an infant brother David C. Brammer; and a grandson, Scott G. Clay

She is survived by two sons, Kermit Clay of Ironton and James Clay of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; two sisters, Marcella Scior of Circleville and Patricia Delong of Union, Ky.; two brothers, Harold C. Brammer of South Point and Gerald R. Brammer of Ironton; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Sugar Creek Cemetery with Rev. Don Delawder officiating. There will be no public visitation and Phillips Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
