Petty theft — 4400 block State Route 93, Ironton, Nov. 9, vehicle broken into; $400 cash, GPS, driver’s license and Social Security card taken.

Improperly discharging firearm — 6300 block State Route 141, Kitts Hill, Nov. 10, homeowner reported home window shot out; suspect named.

Petty theft — 100 block County Road 450, South Point, Nov. 7, man staying at Grandview Inn reported his iPad II stolen; suspect named.

Breaking and entering — 300 block County Road 1, South Point, Nov. 7, two storage buildings broken into.

Breaking and entering — 300 block County Road 1, South Point, Nov. 7, outbuilding broken into; sabre saw taken.

Breaking and entering, vandalism, theft by deception — 1900 block County Road 1A, Ironton, Nov. 6, AEP Ohio employee reported about 300 feet of cooper wire taken from electric substation; value of the wire reported at $8,000 by employee and will cost $50,000 to $60,000 to fix; no suspects at this time.

Breaking and entering — A private drive in South Point, Nov. 7, outbuilding broken into; Mantis tiller taken.

Breaking and entering — 70 block Township Road 1434, South Point, Nov. 7, outbuilding broken into; weed eater taken.

Theft of certain property — 900 block County Road 25, Pedro, Nov. 7, man alleged his sister stole and wrote checks out of his bank account for $400; man wishes to press charges.

Possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia — Jerry’s Pay Lake, South Point, Nov. 7, deputy reported a group of teenagers built a camp fire at the lake and were leaving the scene without putting out the flames; deputy alleged smelling burnt marijuana; upon search of the car, deputy alleged to have found a pipe and baggie of marijuana; one male juvenile released to mother and summonsed to court.

Assault on an officer — Lawrence County Jail, Nov. 12, inmate allegedly assaulted deputy by punching him in the stomach and grabbing him; inmate suffered laceration to face during struggle; treated by EMTs; Roger Wallace, 51, of 409 Buckhorn St., Ironton, charged with assault on a peace officer. On Nov. 13, Wallace allegedly kicked the window out a deputy’s cruiser while being transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Improperly furnishing a firearm to a minor, underage purchase of firearm, delinquent child — Grandview Inn, South Point, Nov. 1, motel clerk reported man turned in a gun that a 17-year-old male was in possession of; juvenile allegedly bought the gun for $30.

— Norenea Cottrell, 26, of 1916 Beech St., Kenova, W.Va., warrants for arrest Nov. 12 by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

— Casi Daniels, 25, of 1877 Route 75, Kenova, W.Va., theft Nov. 12 by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
