Peace process must move forward amicably

Will all you naysayers and warmongers please shut up for the next six months and quit bad-mouthing, ridiculing, beating up and making fun of our president so the peace process can move forward?

I have never in all my life seen and heard such disrespect, crude remarks and statements coming from supposedly well-educated politicians who have been to political college to learn how to stretch the truth and will do almost anything to get elected or reelected.

Like children, they had to shut down the government because they have never gotten over the fact they spent so much money and lost the election. They have already built up a huge war chest and the working people can never match it. As I recall, I said a few years ago, “If the politicians would use their war chest to help pay down the deficit we and our children and grandchildren would all benefit.”

When I was a child, when we would argue or have spats. We would say “Sticks and stones may break my bones by words will ever harm me.”

A few of us remember the words spoken by Franklin Delano Roosevelt, “We have nothing to fear but fear itself.”
