BIDWELL — There always seems to be that one valley in the Rock Hill Redwomen linescore.

But instead of a valley, this time it seemed more like a canyon.

Rock Hill managed just two points in the second quarter and the drop was enough to enable the River Valley Lady Raiders to post a 49-32 Ohio Valley Conference win on Thursday.

River Valley took a 17-7 lead after the first quarter as Leia Moore scored 11 points. Madison Damron hit a 3-pointer for Rock Hill.

Five different players scored for the Lady Raiders in the second quarter while Anna Darby had the lone basket for Rock Hill and it was 31-9 at the half.

Rock Hill (3-14, 1-8) outscored River Valley 23-18 in the second half, but the Redwomen couldn’t overcome the second quarter scoring drought.

Darmon scored 11 of her points in the third quarter including three trifectas as Rock Hill cut the deficit to 40-25.

Damron scored 14 points and Kacie Russell had seven points to lead the Rock Hill.

Moore had 15 points for River Valley while Chelsea Copley and Shelby Brown added nine each.

Rock Hill visits Fairland at noon on Saturday in a league game.
