Female Flyers roll past Bobcats

ROCKSPRINGS — It was a three Musketeers moment. One for all and all for one.

The St. Joseph Female Flyers used a collective effort to beat the Green Lady Bobcats 54-22 Wednesday in the Division IV sectional tournament semifinals.

“We had a lot of balance. We didn’t have anyone with a monster game. We played good team basketball,” said St. Joseph coach Nick Miler.

Amber Neal and Hannah Miller scored 13 points each for St. Joseph. Molly Miller and Lynsey Booker scored eight each and Haley Bartram added seven.

St. Joseph (16-6) plays Beaver Eastern at 2:45 p.m. Saturday in the sectional finals.

The Female Flyers bolted to a 19-4 first quarter lead. Amber Neal scored seven and Hannah Miller five and Booker 4. Neal had a pair of 3-poitners while Miller and Booker hit one each.

Neal scored four points in the second quarter as St. Joseph pushed the lead to 28-8 at the break.

The Female Flyers outscored Green 14-6 in the third quarter for a 42-14 cushion.

Five different players scored in the fourth as the Female Flyers emptied their bench.

Kaylynn Blizzard scored eight points for Green.
