Athlete recalls special day

Published 12:00am Sunday, February 16, 2014

I can’t help but reminisce of my good ole family and friends. Words cannot express the joy you made me feel on Jan. 26 at the Ironton High School Athletic Hall of Fame Induction ceremony. I want to applaud you for what you did for me that day.

The Hall of Fame ceremony was absolutely beautiful, a day I will always treasure deep in my heart as a time of celebration, achievement, and gratitude. I am truly humbled by your expression of love.

The love you showed me went far beyond the award and for that I am thankful.

I would like to publicly thank Coach Tim Thomas, Rick McKnight, Mike and Linda Burcham, Mark LaFon, Kevin Richardson, Linda Gagai, Dean Nance, Tom Phillips, John Wolfe, and Jay Zornes.

Thank you for blessing me and my family. I would also like to thank everyone for your support, well wishes, and those who came out to share in this exciting time. Thank you, thank you, thank – you for such a fabulous honor.
