Willis has not yet been transported to the Lawrence County Jail.

Willis was shot by a homeowner on County Road 19 after that homeowner heard a noise in his house and went to investigate.

Willis had allegedly broken through the door of the home and the homeowner fired multiple shots, hitting Willis in the cheek and abdomen.

The suspect then fled in his own car and wrecked, after which point he was taken to CHH.

No charges have been filed against the homeowner, who was uninjured.
