The Rock Hill Gardeners and the Ironton Gardening Club will host the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs Region 10 summit tomorrow.

The summit is set to take place at Ohio University Southern in the Mains Rotunda. The event will last from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. with food being catered by Spice of Life in Coal Grove.

“We’ll have all kinds of food and people there,” said Lillian Dickess, a member of the Ironton Gardening Club. “As of now I think 65 of our regional club members are registered to attend.”

Region 10 is made up of various gardening clubs in Lawrence, Scioto, Adams, and Pike counties. The event takes place after what is expected to be the last cold snap of the year before spring gets swinging into full gear.

“This is the time of year for people to get out and start working in their gardens,” Dickess said. “Hopefully, everyone who comes out will have a good time and be able to share their love of gardening with other people.”
