The Symmes Valley Little League football will conduct board of directors elections at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, at the high school.

 

CG girls to sponsor

women’s alumni game

The Coal Grove High School girls’ basketball team will sponsor a women’s only alumni basketball game at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the high school.

Any woman who played basketball for Coal Grove in the past is invited to attend.

Anyone unable to run up and down the court who may not want to play is invited to participate in the free throw and 3-point goal shooting contests at halftime.

Admission will be free but donations will be accepted to help raise money to support the girls’ team.

 

ICC hosting memorial

scramble on Saturday

PINE GROVE — The Ironton Country Club’s second annual Memorial Scramble will be held Saturday at the club.

This year’s tournament will honor Jim Lemaster, Jerry Frecka and Harold Spears.

The three-man scramble with two teams per tee box will begin at 1 p.m. sharp. Lunch will be served at noon.

Entry fee is $180 per team. There is a $600 first place award based on 10 teams.

The tournament will award one high school senior a $500 scholarship.
