Pansy L. “Pat” Diamond, 83, of Proctorville, died Monday, April 28, 2014, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, W.Va. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with pastor Glen Carmon officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. David Boster

David J. Boster, 92, of Barboursville, W.Va., died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, W.Va. Keith Nicholas Blake, 19, of Huntington, W.Va., died at his home on Sunday, April 27, 2014. Tina Newcomb

Tina Sue Newcomb, 47, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the St. Mary’s Medical Center-Ironton Campus. The Ironton native was born June 10, 1966, the daughter of Doug Dodson, of Hanging Rock, and the late Linda Fyffe Dodson. She is also survived by her husband, Danny Newcomb Sr., whom she married Feb. 2, 1988.

Tina was a 1985 graduate of Rock Hill High School and a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandchildren, was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Brandi Mannon; father-in-law, Sherlene Newcomb; and two sisters-in-law, Brenda Ratcliff and Violet Newcomb.

In addition to her father, she is survived by three sons, Danny (Sarah) Newcomb, of South Point, William (Brittany Hakes) Newcomb, of Gallipolis, and Jason (Marina) Newcomb, of Lancaster, Pa.; two daughters, Jennifer (Scott) Brown, of Waterloo, and Jessica Preston, of Gallipolis; a brother, Kevin (Judy Beasley) Dodson, of Ironton; two sisters, Tiffinia Moore, of Ironton, and Keeli (Mark) McCallister, of Winchester, Ky.; seven grandsons, Deriek Preston, Koleton McComas, Ethan Newcomb, Brady Brown, Austin Newcomb, Ondre Newcomb and Landyn Newcomb; and three granddaughters, Anna Brown, Nevaeh Newcomb and Jasmine Newcomb.

Harry Anderson

Harry Michael Anderson, 70, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Harry was born Jan. 30, 1944, in Ironton, a son of the late Harry Anderson Sr. and Hazel Craft White.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Suzanne Anderson Blair; a brother, Clarence Douglas White; and a great-grandson, Michael Cory White Jr.

Harry was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Navy with four years’ service, at which time he served on the USS Sullivan during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired as a steelworker from Armco Steel. He also attended Chesapeake Pentecostal Church.

In 1968, Harry met the love of his life, Anna Dale Anderson. He is also survived by two children, Michael D. (Candy) Anderson, of Summit, Ky., and Mary Ann Anderson (Eric) Hamm, of Coal Grove; two sisters, Dreama (Thurman) Gibson, of Waverly, and Patricia Layne, of Franklin Furnace; four grandchildren, Larry (Micki) White, of Alabama, Michael Cory White, of Coal Grove, April (Thomas Holbrook) White, of Chesapeake, and Debbra (Danny) Ostby, of Pedro; six great-grandchildren, Trenton Gene White, Isaiah Nathaniel White, Alyssa Ostby, Nevaeh Holbrook, Noah Ostby and Isaiah Ty Cochran; and special friend, Jim Dameron.

Funeral services will be noon Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home with pastor Clyde Carter officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, NE, Argillite, Ky. Thelma Malone

Thelma M. Malone, 79, of South Point, wife of Ray Malone, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. Arrangements are pending at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home in South Point.

 

 

Rhonda Holschuh

Rhonda Jo Holschuh, 58, of Kitts Hill, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Kitts Hill native was born May 18, 1955, the daughter of the late Donivan and Joann Capper Haskins. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Keith Holschuh.

Rhonda was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University. She was a clerical assistant for Ohio University and a member of the Myrtle Ridge Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Haskins.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Tiffany (John) Johnson, of South Point; a son, Devon ( Deana Sherman) Holschuh, of Kitts Hill; a granddaughter, Jami Lynn Holschuh, of Kitts Hill; several nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends.
