SOUTH POINT — The title drive is complete.

South Point Lady routed the River Valley Lady Raiders 12-2 in six innings Wednesday to clinch the Lady Pointers second straight Ohio Valley Conference softball title.

South Point had 13 hits to back the one-hit pitching of senior Kaitlyn Brown who also racked up seven strikeouts.

“They are all leaders in their own way and have won a lot of games during their time. I’m extremely luck to have coached them these past two years and all the other girls on the team. This is a special team and I’m very proud and happy for everyone on the team.”

South Point took a 3-0 lead in the first inning on singles by Winkler, Haley Rawlins, Sylvia Griffith, a two-run double by Kleinman and an RBI double by Brown.
