FRANKLIN FURNACE — Anyone wanting to increase their equine knowledge will have multiple chances to do so this summer.

The Ohio University Southern Horse Camp will be offered June 10-12, June 24-27, July 14-18 and July 21-25 at the Ohio Horse Park in Franklin Furnace. One-day camps will take place on July 8 and July 9.

“It’s a chance for riders to learn or get a refresher course about safety, grooming, riding and saddling,” Charlene Hailku, instructor, said. “These are the four main components we focus on during the camps.”

The camps cost $50 per day and lasts 9 a.m.-noon. The one-day camps take place 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
