Prison meted in drug case

An Ironton woman charged with selling an ADHD medication was sentenced to prison Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.

Sherry Harbolt, 42, of 1021 S. Seventh St., pleaded guilty to a third-degree count of trafficking in Adderall in the vicinity of a school and a misdemeanor count of endangering children.

Judge D. Scott Bowling sentenced the woman to 36 months in prison, a $5,000 fine and a six-month driver’s license suspension.

In other cases:

• Christopher Webb, 19, P.O. Box 92, Walton, W.Va., was arraigned on a fifth-degree count of possession of heroin, to which he pleaded guilty.

Judge Charles Cooper ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for June 11.

• James Miller, 25, of 266 Township Road 209, Willow Wood, was arraigned on two counts of second-degree burglary, to which he pleaded not guilty. Cooper set bond at $25,000 cash or surety plus a $10,000 own-recognizance bond and GPS monitoring. A pretrial was set for June 11.

• Daniel Smith, 37, of 96 Township Road 1508, South Point, admitted community control sanctions violations. Cooper set sentencing for June 11.

• John Bays, 39, of 404 1/2 S. Fourth St., Ironton, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to one year in prison.

• Zachary Almekinder, 25, of 209 Township Road 258, South Webster, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of misuse of a credit card. Bowling sentenced the man to four years CCS under intensive supervised probation, STAR and 200 hours community service.

• Evan Henry, 33, of 307 Township Road 169, Pedro, pleaded guilty to a count of fourth-degree attempted tampering with evidence and fifth-degree possession of drugs. Bowling sentenced the man to four years CCS/ISP, STAR and 200 hours community service.

• Jason Adkins, 31, of 147 Williams Creek, Rush, Ky., admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to 31 days in jail and 300 hours community service.

• Amee Pyles, 29, of 79 Township Road 1025, South Point, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to eight months in prison.

• Nicholas Roman, 31, of 854 County Road 15, South Point, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of breaking and entering. Bowling sentenced the man to four years CCS/ISP, 300 hours community service and $200 restitution.

• Nathan Spurlock, 32, of 24 Township Road 1234, Proctorville, pleaded guilty to three fifth-degree counts of trafficking in drugs (heroin). He was sentenced to 36 months in prison, a $1,250 fine and a six-month driver’s license suspension.
