Defendants answer charges in CP court

Arraignments filled the dockets of two Lawrence County Common Pleas judges Wednesday as defendants answered charges against them.

Christina Willis, 35, of 2033 State Route 243, Ironton, was arraigned on a fifth-degree count of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug abuse instruments, to which she pleaded not guilty.

Judge D. Scott Bowling continued bond from a lower court and set a pretrial for July 23.

Herman Dement, 35, of 3012 County Road 107, Chesapeake, was arraigned on a fourth-degree count of domestic violence, to which he pleaded not guilty. Bowling continued bond from a lower court and added a $15,000 own-recognizance bond. A pretrial was set for July 23.

Jason Brammer, 31, of 8029 County Road 107, Proctorville, was arraigned on three fifth-degree counts of breaking and entering, to which he pleaded not guilty. Bowling set bond at $15,000 OR and a pretrial was set for July 23.

Dustin Tyler Fulks, 20, of 109 Garden Court, South Point, was arraigned on three fifth-degree counts of trafficking in drugs (heroin) to which he pleaded not guilty. The man is under a holder through Kentucky and Bowling set a pretrial for July 16.

Amanda Clark, 34, of 516 N. Fifth St., Ironton, was arraigned on a fifth-degree count of possession of drugs (oxycodone), to which she pleaded not guilty. Bowling set bond at $15,000 OR and a pretrial was set for July 23.

Donald Dickess, 50, of 151 Private Drive 350, South Point, was arraigned on fourth-degree counts of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, to which he pleaded not guilty. Bowling continued bond from a lower court and added a $15,000 own-recognizance bond. A pretrial was set for July 23.

Cheyenne Halley, 27, of 103 Columbus St., South Point, was sentenced to four years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation, 200 hours community service, a six-month driver’s license suspension and a $1,200 fine.

She had previously pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of possession of cocaine.

Toby Nelson, 38, of 2418 S. Seventh St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of identity fraud. Bowling set sentencing for July 23.

Henry Runyon, 38, of 811 Township Road 161, South Point, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to one year in prison.

Wendi Trogdon, 22, of 325 Pike St., Coal Grove, pleaded guilty to two fifth-degree counts of theft. Bowling sentenced the woman to four years CCS/ISP, STAR and 200 hours community service.

Emilee Jenkins, 24, of 62 Township Road 1368, Proctorville, was arraigned on a third-degree count of aggravated vehicular assault, to which she pleaded not guilty.

Judge Charles Cooper set bond at $10,000 OR and set a pretrial for July 23.

Regina Burton, 30, of 2213 Sixth St., Portsmouth, was arraigned on two first- and one third-degree count of complicity to trafficking in drugs, to which she pleaded not guilty. Cooper continued bond from a lower court and set a pretrial for July 30.

Natasha Moore, 28, of 3721 Stanton Ave., New Boston, was arraigned on a third-degree count of complicity to aggravated trafficking in drugs, to which she pleaded not guilty. Cooper continued bond from a lower court and set a pretrial for July 30.

Steven Vance, 31, of 119 Blackburn Ave., Ashland, Ky., was arraigned on a fifth-degree count of forgery, to which he pleaded not guilty. Cooper set bond at $10,000 cash or surety and set a pretrial for July 23.
