Linda Linville

Linda Joyce Linville, 69, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at the Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland. She was born May 16, 1945, in Warfield, Ky., a daughter of the late Henry and Mae Muncy Blackburn.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five sisters, Mavis Taylor, Nada Scott, Mildred Adkins, Jean Hagar and Lula Hall; and one brother, Melvin Blackburn. She is survived by one son, Chip (Kathy) Linville, of Ironton; one daughter, Jill (Sean) McCarthy of Snohomish, Wash.; three grandchildren, Emily Gilbert, Luke Linville and Anna Linville; one brother, Henry Blackburn, Jr.; two sisters, Mary Cline and Marg Daniel; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, Ironton.

Lewis Walker

Lewis Alfred Walker, 83, of Huntington, W.Va., died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. He is survived by his wife, Janet Walker.

Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Missionary Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

Burial will follow in Midkiff Cemetery, Branchland, W.Va. Visitation will 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
