Geneva Murnahan

Geneva F. Murnahan, 80, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. The Ironton native was born July 18, 1934, a daughter of the late James P. Willis and Della Hill Lunsford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Murnahan, who passed away Jan. 5, 2006.

Mrs. Murnahan was a 1952 graduate of Rock Hill High School, a homemaker and a former employee of the Chapman Drug Company. She was also a Cub Scout Leader and involved with the 4-H Club as a volunteer.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Janet Wagner, Judy Willis and Ethel Freeman; and two brothers, Jimmy Willis and Don Lunsford.

She is survived by three daughters, Debbie (Rob) Cornett, of Beaver, Diana Robinson, of Ironton, and Dottie (Bill) Robinson, of Ironton; a son, Chuck (Brandy) Murnahan, of Ironton; five brothers, William H. (Ginny) Willis, of Elyria, Bud (Helen) Willis, of South Carolina, Clarence Lunsford, of Ironton, George (Pauline) Lunsford, of Venice, Fla., and Paul Lunsford, of Cleveland; two sisters, Edith (Gary) Ledbetter, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Thelma Selvage, of Ironton; a brother-in-law, Robert Wagner, of Elyria; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in Hanging Rock Cemetery and visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bill Robinson, Rob Cornett, Aden Murnahan, Jarrod Robinson, Ryan Cornett and Austin Robinson. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

 

 

Kenny Fields

Kenny Fields, of Gillette, Wyo., originally from Ironton, died May 28, 2014, in Gillette. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Central Christian Church in Ironton. All friends and family are welcome. A reception will follow.

 

 

Darrell Jenkins

Darrell Edward Jenkins, 57, of South Point, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. Funeral service will be conducted 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville by the Rev. Gary Beckett. Visitation will be 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
