Chesy wins quad match

PINE GROVE — The Chesapeake Panthers won a four-team golf match Wednesday at the Ironton Country Club.

The Panthers had three golfers shoot in the 30s as they posted a 154-team score.

Shane Stevens shot a 34, Jake Stevens 38 and Derek Lemley 39 to lead the Panthers. Austin Hutchinson was next with a 43 followed by Jacob Henson with a 45 and Jacob Eddy 54.

Brent Morgan shot a 36 to lead the Coal Grove Hornets who were runners-up with a 165 score. Trevor Deere shot a 40, Brandon Adkins had a 41 and Chase McKnight a 48.

Ryan Malone was one shot back at 49 and Tori Holmes had a 54.

Cory Rawlins fired a 43 to pace the Ironton Fighting Tigers who had a 184 total. Jaylen Thornhill was two shots back at 45, Mitchell Weisgarber and Chandler Dodson each had a 48, Mason Slagel was right behind with a 49 and Jacob Thomas had a 54.

The Rock Hill Redmen had a 204 score with Logan Reed shooting a 40. Jason Haywood was next with a 53, Chase Nelson had a 55, Austin Barcus 56 and Andrew Brammer had a 65.
