WEST PORTSMOUTH — The St. Joseph Female Flyers are a “10.”

The Female Flyers got a 10-1 win on Saturday and followed that with a 10-0 win over the Portsmouth West Lady Senators on Monday.

“We continued where we left off on Saturday with great movement and decision making in the attack and once again a strong defensive effort,” said Female Flyers’ coach Kyle Weatherholt.

“Emma Williams had a nice game. Chloe Porter had another good performance and Karly Young and Ashley Bartram are playing well on the defensive side.”

Lynsey Booker had three first half goals as St. Joseph took a 7-0 lead. Sidney Payne had a second half goal and three assists while Kaylee Sheridan scored twice and had an assist.

Emma Williams had two goals and an assist while Hayley Bartram and Austin Roach also scored goals.

“I’m glad that our younger players are getting some good experience and really playing well. We’re getting ready to start the most difficult part of our season with matches against Cross Lanes Christian and Huntington St. Joe,” said Weatherholt.

St. Joseph (7-0) plays at Cross Lanes (W.Va.) Christian at 6 p.m. Thursday.
