COAL GROVE — With ancient history thoughts in mind, the Fairland Lady Dragons “Stoned” their opponent.

Behind a strong all-around game by Caitlin Stone, the Lady Dragons swept the Coal Grove Lady Hornets on Thursday in an Ohio Valley Conference volleyball game.

Fairland won 25-21, 25-23 and 25-13 as Stone had 17 points, 18 assists and 8 kills.

Kelsey Riley had 10 kills and 13 digs, Mackenzie Riley had 13 digs and 4 blocks, and Jenna Fulks added 5 blocks.

In the junior varsity game, Fairland won 20-25, 25-15, 25-13 as Emily Chapman scored 18 points.

Fairland plays at South Point on Tuesday in a league game.
