SOUTH POINT — Learning ways to stay informed, stay healthy and save money is the purpose of Medicare Check-Up Days on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the South Point branch of the Briggs Lawrence County Library.

The free event is a service of the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Program at the Ohio Department of Insurance.

Learn about recent changes to Medicare, find out how the Oct. 15-Dec. 7 Medicare annual Coordinated Election Period works, get tips on how to enroll for 2015 coverage in a Medicare prescription drug plan (Part D) and/or Medicare health plan. Find out if you qualify to save an average of $3,000 a year on prescription drug costs.
