Woman admits selling Oxycodone: Sentencing set for Feb. 18

A South Point woman arrested in August by the Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task Force admitted to selling oxycodone Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.

Susan Hanshaw, 32, of 719 County Road 15, pleaded guilty to one second-degree, three fourth-degree and two third-degree counts of trafficking in drugs.

According to the indictment, Hanshaw was in the possession of firearms and $2,836 at the time of her arrest, which could be forfeited to the drug task force.

Judge Charles Cooper set sentencing for Feb. 18.

In other cases:

• Chayton Holycross, 30, of Delaware, pleaded guilty to a second-degree count of burglary. Cooper sentenced the man to six years in prison.

• Joseph Skeens, 31, of 44 Jeffs Valley, Greenup, Kentucky, was sentenced to five years in prison for a second-degree count of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, to which he previously pleaded guilty.

Cooper also ordered the man to pay a $7,500 fine and suspended his driver’s license for three years.

• Derek Childers, 31, of 175 Township Road 1055, Proctorville, pleaded guilty to two second-degree counts of burglary and four fifth-degree counts of breaking and entering. Cooper set sentencing for Feb. 18.

• George Layne, 33, of 2697 State Route 243, was ordered to complete the STAR Community Justice Center Program. The man previously admitted community control sanctions violations.

• Tammie Fitzpatrick, 50, of 56 County Road 57 Unit 2, South Point, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of possession of a controlled substance. Judge D. Scott Bowling set sentencing for Wednesday.

• Devon Harmon, 36, of 627 S. Seventh St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of breaking and entering. Bowling ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for Feb. 25.

• Margie Marcum, 33, of 2483 Deep Elk Road, Inez, Kentucky, was sentenced to four years CCS under intensive supervised probation, STAR, a $1,250 fine, 200 hours community service and a six-month driver’s license suspension. Marcum previously pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of aggravated possession of drugs and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug abuse instruments.

• Darren Gully, 29, of 204 Ridgeway St., Coal Grove, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to seven months in prison.

• Dustin Boyd, 30, listed as homeless, was arraigned on a bill of information of fifth-degree possession of drugs and misdemeanor theft, to which he pleaded guilty.

Bowling set sentencing for Feb. 4.

• Hillary Nance, 23, of 27 Private Drive 5904, Ironton, was sentenced to four years CCS/ISP, 200 hours community service and four months of GPS monitored home confinement. She previously pleaded guilty to a third-degree count of tampering with evidence.

• Larry Rowe, 35, of 1105 Bath Ave., Ashland, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of theft by deception. Bowling set sentencing for Feb. 4.
