Ironton residents will have a few extra days to pay their water bills this month. The bills are normally due on the 10th of each month, although they will be extended until the 16th at 4 p.m. with no charge.

“With last month’s computer problems that we’ve had, we extended the length of time because many people did not get their bills,” Ironton Mayor Rich Blankenship, said. “That’s trickling over to this month, so we extended it six more days with no late fee.”

When there is an issue with one month, it can slow down getting everything back on track, although the city is hopeful that it will be back on its regular schedule next month, he said.
