COLUMBUS — The Tribune was recognized Sunday by the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors, bringing home six honors at the annual awards banquet.

Tribune photographer Jessica St. James took first place in the Best Feature Photo category. Judges said her entry was a “clear winner,” as well as a “good moment and composition.”

She also took second in the Best New Photo category.

“Jessica St. James once again has shown she is one of the best photographers in the state,” said Michelle Goodman, Tribune news editor. “She has the true ability to capture a moment, from serious to humorous, and I am very proud of her achievements, as well as the other members of our staff who were honored with awards.”

Other awards were:

• Best Informational Graphic: 2nd place, Kandi Thompson;

• Best Special Sports Section: 2nd place, Jim Walker;

• Best Graphic Artist: 3rd place, Kandi Thompson; and

• Best Digital Presence: 3rd place.
