Glenn Finley

Glenn G. Finley, 83, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Friday, May 21, 2015, at Community Hospice, Ashland, Kentucky. Glenn was born June 5, 1932, in South Point, a son of the late Dewey and Cora Caudill Finley.

He was a 1950 graduate of South Point High School, a former member of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Federal Treasury Law Enforcement Officer (Internal Security Division) and a Property and Casualty Claims Manager for Westfield Insurance Company, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Carroll Finley; one son, Glenn A. (Janie Wyatt) Finley, of Franklin Furnace; twin sister, Gladys Woodburn, of Ironton; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Jane Finley.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ashland Cemetery, Ashland, Kentucky, with Pastor Jim Orrick and Kenny Hurst officiating. Glen Church Sr.

Glen Church Sr., of Coal Grove, died Friday, May 22, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lick Creek Independent Baptist Church. Deborah Chandler

Deborah Estep Chandler, 62, of Proctorville, died Saturday, May 23, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Lane Chandler. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Thalia Holtzapfel

Thalia Holtzapfel, 77, of Ironton, died Friday, May 22, 2015, at her residence. Thalia is survived by her husband, James L. Holtzapfel. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church, 611 Center Street, Ironton, with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
