The Ironton Rotary Club has a long-standing tradition of annually helping two nursing students in his or her junior or senior year attain the goal of becoming a registered nurse with a four-year degree.

Again this year, the club will award two $500 scholarships for the 2015-16 academic year to students who have the academic standing and can show a need for assistance. Each scholarship winner will also personally receive $200 for other school-related expenses such as textbooks or fees.

If you are from or living in Lawrence County and you will be a junior or senior in a four-year nursing program in the upcoming 2015-16 academic year, you are eligible to apply for the nursing scholarship.

The deadline for applications will be Wednesday, June 10.
