HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Marshall University’s Oct. 17 football date at Florida Atlantic will have a noon (ET) kickoff with a live telecast by Fox College Sports, it was announced Monday by Conference USA.

It will be the third straight season the Thundering Herd has made a football visit to Boca Raton, Fla., in the heart of one of Marshall’s most fertile recruiting areas.

Coach Doc Holliday’s team downed FAU, 24-23, on Justin Haig’s last-play field goal in the 2013 regular season, and then won the inaugural Boca Raton Bowl, 52-23, at FAU Stadium over Northern Illinois last December. That win brought the Herd to a 13-1 record and a finish in the national polls (Nos. 22/23) for the first time since the 2002 season.

The noon kickoff is the eighth start time locked in for the 2015 Herd. Remaining game times to be determined are dates at Kent State, Charlotte and Middle Tennessee, and a home game against FIU.
