Theft of motor vehicle — 200 block Township Road 1430, South Point Aug. 19, 2001 Chevy Silverado taken.

Domestic violence — 1000 block County Road 1, South Point, Aug. 18, woman alleged estranged husband hit her in the face and neck; negative contact with suspect.

Having weapons under a disability, domestic violence, resisting arrest, felonious assault —A private drive off County Road 1 in South Point, Aug. 17, woman alleged she was scared of her husband; deputy went to the home and suspect allegedly ran into the home and loaded a shotgun, which he pointed at the deputy; suspect allegedly dropped the gun after being asked several times but would not place his hands behind his back for arrest until he was threatened with TASER; Joseph Merrill Jr., 41, of the same address, arrested.
