Lady Pointers use consistency to win 2 volleyball games

COAL GROVE — Consistency is the key.

The South Point Lady Pointers used strong consistent serving to make the difference as they won two matches at the Coal Grove Quad volleyball match on Saturday.

South Point beat Green 25-10, 25-6, and then downed Minford 25-9, 25-11.

The Lady Pointers amassed a total of 28 aces led by Mackenzie Fugitt and Brooklyn Badgett with 8 each. Leah Lawson and Hope Aylsworth recorded 4 each.

Sparking the offense was senior captain Olivia Abner who controlled the net with 13 kills along with 6 blocks.

The Lady Points visit Greenup County, Ky., on Monday.
