Name released in train death

The man who was struck and killed by a train in Ironton on Thursday has been identified.

Ironton Police say the man was Dajone Lee Bradley, age 33.

Detective Joe Ross said the man was originally from Connecticut but his last known address was in Richmond, Virginia.

“We think he was just traveling through the area,” Ross said.

Bradley was killed between 10 and 10:15 a.m. Thursday. He had been walking along the railroad tracks near the McPherson Street crossing when he was struck by a Norfolk Southern train.

He was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center Ironton Campus and was pronounced dead.
