Hazel Shaw

June 3, 1932—March 26, 2015

Hazel E. (Tootles) Shaw, 83, of Woodbridge, Virginia, died on Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at Heartland of Riverview. She was born June 3, 1932, in Blackfork to the late Samuel W. and Hazel Lomax McDaniel. She was the widow of Richard A. Shaw Sr. She was a retired accountant for the E.D.S. Company. She was preceded by one brother, William E. McDaniel; one sister, Goldie Spencer; and grandson, Richard Alonzo (Trey) Shaw III. Survivors include son, Richard (Rick) Shaw Jr., of Woodbridge; his child, Alex Shaw, of Woodbridge; son, Robert (Kathryn) Shaw of Stafford, Virginia; one daughter Rebecca A. (Jason) Phillips of Spotsylvania, Virginia; her children, Jason Todd Phillips Jr. and Katherine Blake Phillips (Jeffery Fleming); their children, Isaac Fleming and Isabel Fleming, of Spotsylvania; and one sister, Wilma (Aunt Sis) Fox, of Ironton. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with Eddie Holmes officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Union Baptist Cemetery in Blackfork.

 

Danny Fields

Feb. 17, 2015 — Oct. 25, 2015

Danny (Max) Fields, 60, of Ironton, died Oct. 25, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland. He was born Feb. 17, 1955, to the late Max Fields and Nellie Wallace Fields, of Ironton. He was preceded in death by Sheila Fields, Bernard Fields, Jo Ann Drummond, and Brenda Chinn. Survivors include his mother and sons, Jason (Patricia) Fields, of Deering; Max Fields, of Tennessee; daughter, Felicia Fields, of South Point; stepson, Adam Scoir, of Miami, Florida; sister, Sandra Xanders, of Wichita, Kansas; and brother, John (Margery), of Kitts Hill.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Friday at the Family Life Worship Center with Todd Munson officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Danny’s son, Max Fields, at Life Worship Center 209 N. Second St., Ironton. O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Ronald Johnson

Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Johnson, 74, of South Point, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point.
