Grand jury indicts for trafficking

Eight Tri-State residents were indicted by a Lawrence County grand jury this week, with charges ranging from drug trafficking to burglary.

The following information was provided by the office of Lawrence County Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson.

• Cari L. Collins, 37, of 2088 Township Road 218, Ironton, trafficking in drugs with a specification of being in possession of $4,420 cash.

• John F. Wright, 47, of 714 Bellefonte Princess Drive, Ashland, complicity to aggravated trafficking in drugs with a specification of being in possession of $4,420 cash, trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs.

• Mark Noel, 42, of 870 County Road 128, Ironton, complicity to aggravated trafficking in drugs with a specification of being in possession of $4,420 cash.

• Stewart Scott Jr., 61, of 802 Madison Ave., Ironton, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving under suspension.

• Lawrence D. Jenkins, 53, of 1119 S. Third St., Ironton, possession of drugs.

• Brent Patrick, 27, of 302 Washington St., Coal Grove, burglary.

• Kimberly D. Duncan, 37, of 453 Pine Hill Estates Road, Kenova, West Virginia, failure to appear.

• Dean A. Cooper, 25, of 1210 McGovney Ave., Ironton, failure to appear.

An indictment is a formal allegation that an individual has committed a crime. The accused are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
