Burglary — 100 block Township Road 1196, Proctorville, Jan. 5, laptop, Playstation games, jewelry taken from residence.

Resisting arrest, falsification — 5 mile marker on State Route 7, Proctorville, Jan. 1, deputy reported subject allegedly gave a false identification and ran from him; George R. Stanley, 32, of 6028 County Road 15, South Point, arrested.

Aggravated trespass, aggravated menacing, using weapons while intoxicated — 800 block Township Road 221, Proctorville, Jan. 2, man reported intoxicated neighbor came onto his property and pointed a gun at him.

Petty theft — Wal-mart, South Point, Jan. 2, man allegedly returned stolen merchandise for store gift card; Derick Browning, 32, of South Point, arrested.

Using weapons while intoxicated — County Road 450, South Point, Jan. 3, deputy reported a traffic stop in which a passenger was allegedly intoxicated and was in possession of a firearm; Bobby Marcum, 43, of 184 Midville Heights, Lavalette, West Virginia, arrested.

Domestic violence — A private drive in South Point, Jan. 3, woman alleged her son’s girlfriend tried to choke her; Jessica Perry, 22, of the same address, arrested.

Possession of drug abuse instruments, petty theft, trafficking in heroin — Wal-mart, South Point, Jan. 3, man allegedly caught shoplifting and was in possession of heroin and a needle; Jimmy Holbrook, 35, of Branchland, West Virginia, arrested.

Criminal trespass — Wal-mart, South Point, Jan. 4, man previously banned from Wal-mart allegedly caught trespassing; Arthur Boyd Jr., 35, of 4409 Daniels St., Ashland, arrested.

Petty theft — 10 block Township Road 1059, Proctorville, Jan. 2, lawnmower and weedeater taken from property.

Petty theft — 9100 block State Route 93, Pedro, Jan. 3, beer taken from carryout.

Petty theft — 3600 block State Route 7, Chesapeake, Jan. 3, license plate stolen from vehicle.
