We want to take a moment and thank all the candidates that attended our Meet the Candidate Night at Burlington Elementary School. Each candidate expressed their thoughts and desires to serve the county.

After the candidates spoke, we had a question and answer period followed by a dessert reception where voters and candidates could mingle and express themselves. After everyone expressed themselves it should be clear to those in the audience which candidates they felt was best to serve them.

We also want to express our gratitude to those members of the Concerned Citizens who made this event possible.

Our hostess Margaret Pennington and her husband Ed, along with her helpers James Caldwell and Daniel Lucas. Vice President Tamara Jones helped organize the set up. Charles Linthicum offered a prayed and lead the pledge to the flag, and yours truly invited the candidates and performed as MC.
